Milaimys “Milly” Castellón (She/Her/Ella) is a professional actor, singer, and storyteller currently based in South Florida. A proud first-generation Cuban-American artist, her work is deeply rooted in culture, community, and the belief that theatre has the power to connect, heal, and transform.
In 2023, Milly earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre from the University of Florida / New World School of the Arts College. Since then, she has carved out a distinct path as an actor, musician, writer, director, and theatre-maker. Her multi-faceted creative practice is driven by a deep curiosity about the human experience and a passion for innovation.
In 2025, that passion led Milly to found The Open Space, a creative collective dedicated to uplifting the bold, underrepresented narratives of the Greater Miami community. The emerging organization champions collaboration, artistic risk-taking, and inclusivity -centering voices that have too often been pushed to the margins.
Milly sees art as a vital life force - one that brings clarity, connection, and a sense of belonging in an often disorienting world. She is inspired by artists who are fearless in their work, who challenge convention, and who lead with courage, care, and intention. Her artistic mission is to collaborate with every diligent, kind, and inspired LGBTQ+ / BIPOC artist in pursuit of original work, and to build a career rooted in amplifying stories that reflect the full depth and complexity of lives too often overlooked.
Outside of her creative work, Milly finds joy in the everyday - caring for her tropical fish tank, cooking spicy Mexican meals with her girlfriend, and planning their next big adventure. Wherever she goes, Milly brings with her a sense of wonder, purpose, and a commitment to building meaningful connection through art.
